SHARONVILLE UNIT - JANITORIAL CFM (Caravan Facility Management) WORKERS
ELECTION NOTICE - This position and election is for the Janitorial (CFM) workers, ONLY.

On Tuesday, OCTOBER 1, 2019 there will be an ELECTION to elect the following position: Union Chairperson - one (1) to be elected

Voting Time: 8:00am to 4:30pm
Voting Location: UAW Local 863 Union Headquarters (downstairs meeting room)
10708 Reading Road - Cincinnati, Ohio 45241

All Janitorial workers who are Members of Local 863 UAW in good standing with one-year seniority are hereby nominated as a Candidate.
All Janitorial workers who are Members of Local 863 UAW in good standing with one-year seniority are eligible to run as a Candidate.

All Janitorial workers who are Members of Local 863 UAW in good standing are eligible to vote. A photo-identification is required to vote. Voting will be by paper-ballot.

Candidate Acceptance Forms are available at Local 863 Union Hall. A photo-identification is required to submit a Candidate Acceptance Form. Candidate Acceptance Forms must be submitted in person to UAW Local 863 Union Headquarters, no later than 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2019. Each person submitted a Candidate Acceptance Form will receive a receipt.

Laid-off members will vote at UAW Local 863 Union Headquarters, from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Members who are on medical will vote at UAW Local 863 Union Headquarters, from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Members who are terminated and have an active-grievance in the system will vote at UAW Local 863 Union Headquarters, from 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Also, Absentee Ballots are available only for Members who will be out of town on assigned Union Business or assigned Company Business on October 1, 2019. A request for an Absentee Ballot must be made in writing beforeElection day: October 1, 2019; and addressed to the UAW Local 863 Election Committee, 10708 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45241. Absentee Ballots must be returned to UAW Local 863 Election Committee, 10708 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45241; prior to the start of the election on October 1, 2019.

In the event of a vote tie involving two candidates the winner will be determined by a coin-toss, if the vote tie involves more than two candidates a Run-Off election will be necessary. If necessary, a Run-Off election will be held on October 8, 2019; same time frames and locations as mentioned above. Absentee Ballots will be available, as soon as possible, for Members who will be out of town on assigned Union Business or assigned Company Business on both days of the run-off election.
