UAW-Ford Local 863 General Election - May 5, 2020

UAW-FORD LOCAL 863 - IMPORTANT ELECTION BULLETIN
The 2020 General Election of UAW Local 863 Officers will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 from 5:00a.m. to 8:00p.m. at the Sharonville Plant in the Alcove Room.

All ACTIVE Members of UAW-Ford Local 863 Sharonville Unit, both Skilled and Non-Skilled, who are in good standing with one-year seniority are nominated as a Candidate to the respective offices and positions, per the UAW Constitution and Local 863 Bylaws.

All UAW-Ford Local 863 Retirees are nominated as a Candidate and are eligible to run for the followingExecutive Board positions only: Recording Secretary, Financial Secretary, Guide, Sergeant-at-Arms and Trustee.
UAW-Ford Local 863 Retirees will vote at UAW Local 863 Union Headquarters, 10708 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio, on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 from 7:00a.m. to 4:30p.m.

Candidate Acceptance Forms are available at UAW Local 863 Union Headquarters, 10708 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio. A Candidate Acceptance Form must be submitted in person, photo identification required, on any of the following date(s): March 13, March 16, March 17, March 18, March 19, March 20, March 23,
March 24, March 25 from 8:00am to 4:30pm; and March 26 from 8:00am to 12:00pm noon to the UAW Local 863 Union Headquarters, at 10708 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio.  Each member who submits a Candidate Acceptance Form will be given a receipt at UAW Local 863 Union Headquarters. The Election Committee will use a lottery draw to determine each candidate’s position on the ballot. The lottery draw will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at 3:30pm at UAW Local 863 Union Hall. All Members are welcome to be present for the drawing.

All ACTIVE Members of UAW-Ford Local 863 Sharonville Unit will vote at the Sharonville Plant (Alcove Room), on May 5, 2020 from 5:00am to 8:00pm. A photo-identification is required to vote.

UAW-Ford members who are on medical will vote at the Sharonville Plant (Alcove Room) on May 5, 2020 from 5:00am to 8:00pm. A photo-identification is required to vote.

UAW-Ford members who are on laid-off will vote at the Sharonville Plant (Alcove Room) on May 5, 2020 from 5:00am to 8:00pm. A photo-identification is required to vote.

Members who are terminated and have an active-grievance in the system may vote at UAW Local 863 Union Headquarters on May 5, 2020 from 7:00am to 4:30pm. A photo-identification is required to vote.

Absentee Ballots are available only for Members who will be out of town on assigned Union Business or assigned Company Business on May 5, 2020. A request for an Absentee Ballot must be made in writing before Election Day, May 5, 2020, and addressed to the UAW Local 863 Election Committee, 10708 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45241. Absentee Ballots must be returned to UAW Local 863 Election Committee, 10708 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45241, prior to the start of the election on May 5, 2020.

If necessary, a Run-off Election will be held on May 12, 2020, same time frame(s) as mentioned above. The Run-off Election will be conducted by the Election Committee and voting will be by paper-ballot, as per Membership approval on March 1, 2020. Absentee Ballots will be available, as soon as possible, if Member will be
out of town on assigned Union Business or assigned Company Business on the run-off election date.

All Members of UAW Local 863 who are in good standing are eligible to vote.
Members who are not in good standing are not eligible to vote.
