(c) At least seven (7) days notice shall be posted of the meeting at which the Election Committee is to be nominated and elected. Proposed New Language: Section 1. (c) At least seven (7) days notice shall be posted of the meeting at which the Election Committee is to be nominated and elected on UAW 863 officially recognized bulletin boards in each workplace location. Reasonable effort shall be made to inform UAW 863 Retirees of the standing Election Committee Election, and UAW 863 Retirees are eligible to be a candidate for the standing Election Committee and hold the office and perform all of the duties of the position if elected. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = SECOND READING ARTICLE XII Election and Election Committee Current Language: Section 1. (a) NONE Proposed New Language: Section1. (a) (NEW) Because UAW 863 is an Amalgamated Union, candidates for, or Members of the standing Election Committee, may consist of Members of any of the represented units, without regard to company affiliation and shall be allowed to oversee all elections of any of the units and fulfill all of the obligations required to be a member of the standing Election Committee. NOTE: All lettered subsections in Article XII Section 1 shall change to the next letter subsection. Example: Current Article XII Section 1 (a) will now become Article XII Section 1 (b) and so on.
