Raytheon Employees Bound for Australia

Australia Bound

After over a year of preparations and several unsuccessful attempts, nearly a dozen Raytheon Collective Bargaining Unit employees will finally be going to Australia for three month work assignments.

Benefits include: round trip business class airfare, lodging, a 15% pay increase, $75.00 a day per diem, overtime opportunities, shared car rental, and a phone allowance.

I would like to thank the following union members who are pioneering in this effort: Andrew Allen, David Carpenter, Gay Johnson, Joe Gonzales, Harvey Lewis, Tony Neal, Ruben Nunez, Joe Rodriguez, and Bo Slagle. Congratulations and best of luck to you all. I ask that each of you represent the UAW in the best possible light so that future endeavors of this nature may again be achieved. I would also like to thank the management teams of both Raytheon Garland and Australia for their efforts in making this happen. May you all have a most memorable experience.

-- David Berrera, Raytheon Chairman
